Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Three women from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) are at this week's NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships, and they are hoping at least one of them can come back with a national championship.

"They're talented," head coach Joanna Warmington said. "They've shown me they have raw speed, they have talent, they're aggressive runners, and they're confident."

Freshman Samantha Rivard is trying for her second national title of the year --- the other came during the indoor season --- as she will compete in both the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races.

Juniors Allie Rudin and Chanel Miller, meanwhile, are looking for their first-ever national titles as they are set to compete in the steeplechase and heptathlon, respectively.

The NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships are set to run Thursday through Saturday in Allendale, Mich.
