UMD Will Play in 2014 Ice Breaker Tourney

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team will be one of four programs to play in the 2014 Ice Breaker tournament hosted by the University of Notre Dame, the school officially announced on Tuesday.

The University of Minnesota and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) will join UMD and Notre Dame to make up the four-team field, with the game set to be played at the Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Ind.

UMD has played in just one previous Ice Breaker tournament, with that coming in 2003 and the Bulldogs posting an overall record of (0-1-1).
