UMD's Crandall a Mike Richter Finalist

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) senior goaltender Aaron Crandall has been named one of 18 finalists for the inaugural Mike Richter Award, which will be given every year to the top goaltender in NCAA Division I men's hockey.

Crandall is enjoying his best season with the Bulldogs, having posted an overall record of (11-9-3) to go along with a 2.77 goals against average and a .903 saves percentage.

Similar to the Hobey Baker Award, the Mike Richter Award will be handed out based on on- and off-ice criteria and will be awarded on the Friday of the Frozen Four weekend.
