Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) senior safety Cameron Harper has been named to the 2012 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) academic All-American second team, it was announced on Wednesday.

Harper, an accounting major at UMD carrying a 3.53 cumulative grade-point average, is just the fifth Bulldogs football player to ever attain CoSIDA academic All-American status.

The Blaine, Minn. native finished second on the team this fall with 76 total tackles, and he also added a pair of interceptions. In 54 career games at UMD, his 282 tackles put him third all-time in Bulldogs program history.
