UMD's Hinsch, Rainey Earn NSIC Honors

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore setter Ashley Hinsch and junior defensive specialist Julie Rainey have each been named a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) player of the week, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Hinsch is the NSIC setter of the week after she dealt 13.55 assists per set this past week for the Bulldogs, including a career-best 70 in a single match against Wayne State.

Rainey, meanwhile, is the NSIC defensive player of the week after she collected 69 digs in three matches this past week, putting her at an NSIC-best 6.27 average per set.
