UMD's Lange Earns NSIC POTW Honor

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hibbing, Minn. native and University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) senior outside hitter Kate Lange has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) offensive player of the week, it was announced on Monday.

Lange had 43 kills over the weekend in two Bulldogs' victories, including a 3-2 win Saturday afternoon over then #1-ranked Concordia St. Paul to close out the regular season.

She led the league in averaging 5.38 kills per set over the weekend while also posting a .357 hitting percentage to help move UMD to (28-2) this season.

This marks the third time this year Lange has garnered NSIC offensive player of the week honors.
