UMD's Plante, USA Beat Sweden for Bronze

Piestany, Slovakia (NNCNOW.com) --- Cloquet, Minn. native and University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's assistant hockey coach Derek Plante and the United States Under-18 team beat Sweden in overtime 5-4 to claim bronze at the Ivan Hlinka Tournament.

Dennis Yan scored in the final minute of overtime to give the U.S. the edge over the Swedes while goaltender Matthew Jurusik made 42 saves in the winning effort.
