Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore forward Maureen Stormont has been named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) first team, it was announced on Thursday.
Stormont led the Bulldogs with 11 goals and two assists this season, totaling 24 points to put her tied for fourth among the NSIC scoring leaders.
UMD junior forward Dani Potter also earned all-conference honors following the 2012 season. She was placed on the second team after finishing the year with five goals and eight assists for the Bulldogs.
Senior midfielder Kelsey Gratz was the final UMD player on the all-conference list, earning honorable mention after posting two goals and three assists in the 2012 season.
Duluth native and Minnesota-Crookston junior midfielder Rachel Halligan also earned all-conference honorable mention, that after finishing with a team-high eight points this year.
