#20 Bulldogs Drop NCHC Opener to Tigers

Colorado Springs, CO (NNCNOW.com) --- The #20-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team dropped its first-ever game as part of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) on Friday night, falling 3-1 on the road to Colorado College.

Austin Farley scored the lone goal of the game for the Bulldogs, with that coming midway through the third period to make it a 2-1 game at the time.

Matt McNeely started his third straight game for UMD, making 20 saves on 23 shots to take his first loss of the season.

UMD is now (1-1-1) this year and will close out the two-game series with Colorado College on Oct. 19, with that game set to start at 8:07 p.m. CT.
