Black, Bulldogs Shut Out the Beavers in Win

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team scored a goal in each period on Friday night to get past Bemidji State University 3-0 at AMSOIL Arena for their third straight win.

Ashleigh Brykaliuk got the Bulldogs on the board in the first period on a power-play goal. Duluth, Minn. native Emma Stauber added a shorthanded goal in the second period with Hannah Bramm scoring the team's third goal in the final period of play.

The Bulldogs netminder Kayla Black earned the shutout with 17 saves in all.

UMD (7-4-2) and Bemidji State (6-7-2) meet again on Saturday night at 6:07 p.m. at AMSOIL Arena.
