Boos' Bulldogs Sharp in Sweep of Warriors

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Head coach Jim Boos is now just 10 wins away from career victory number 300, that after his #6-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) Bulldogs beat Winona State 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Romano Gymnasium.

Hibbing, Minn. native Kate Lange pounded a team-high 14 kills and added five digs in the winning effort, with senior captain Kalli Lochner also posting eight kills for the Bulldogs.

Sophomore libero Julie Rainey tallied a match-high 22 digs in the match, while freshman outside hitter Mariah Scharf came up with a career-high five blocks for UMD.

The Bulldogs are now (21-2) overall this season and (12-2) in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
