'Dogs Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's and women's track and field teams have both been selected as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic teams, it was announced this week.

The men's team is one of 50 schools nationwide to earn the honor, that after posting a 3.06 cumulative grade point average. The women's team, meanwhile, is one of 105 schools nationwide to be honored, that after posting a 3.16 cumulative grade point average.

Along with both teams being honored, Dan Nielsen, Tyler Stevens, and Chris Wilson from the men's team and Jennifer Hitchcock, Amelia Maher, Chanel Miller, Alexandra Rudin, Hannah Olson, Kayla Wiltrout, Breanna Colbenson, and Cassandra Ortberg all earned individual All-Academic awards from the USTFCCCA.
