'Dogs Fall One Spot in Latest AVCA Poll

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team fell one spot to #2 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) Division II poll, which was released on Monday afternoon.

UMD dropped its first match of the season this past Friday night, a 3-2 defeat to the now #1-ranked Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears.

The Bulldogs received one first-place vote in this week's poll, with the team boasting a (13-1) overall record this season and a (4-1) mark within the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).

UMD will next be in action on Oct. 5 at home against Upper Iowa, with that match set for a 7:00 p.m. CT start at Romano Gymnasium.
