No. 6 Huskies Score Late, Sweep No. 16 UMD

St. Cloud, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 16 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team tied No. 6 St. Cloud State midway through the third period before the Huskies scored the game-winning goal with less than two minutes to play 4-3 on Saturday night.

The Huskies got on the board just 30 seconds into the first period before Caleb Herbert knotted things up at one. SCSU scored the next two goals and led by two until Dom Toninato and Alex Iafallo each scored to draw even.

Jonny Brodzinski scored with 1:49 to play in regulation to help the Huskies to the weekend sweep of the Bulldogs. Aaron Crandall racked up 34 saves in net for UMD.

UMD (13-11-4) will host North Dakota next weekend at 7:07 p.m.
