'Dogs Win in Five, Advance to NCAA Region Semis

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team beat Central Missouri 3-2 on Thursday afternoon, advancing to the NCAA Division II regional tournament semifinals.

Hibbing, Minn. native Kate Lange led the Bulldogs with 27 kills and added 14 digs in the winning effort, moving UMD to (29-4) overall this season.

UMD senior captain Kalli Lochner added 12 kills, and sophomore Maddy Siroin was also in double digits with 10 in the contest.

Sophomore libero Julie Rainey finished with a team-high 19 digs, and freshman setter Ashley Hinsch dished out 59 assists in helping UMD to a .255 attacking percentage.

The Bulldogs will now face the region's #1 seed Concordia-St. Paul \in the NCAA regional tournament semifinals, with that match set for November 30 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
