Leksand, Sweden (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. natives and brothers Jack and Chris Connolly will be reunited this winter on the same team and the same line in the Swedish Elite League (SEL) as both have signed contracts with Leksands IF, family members confirmed to NNCNOW.com on Monday morning.

Jack has played the past two seasons with Farjestad BK in the SEL, but this will be Chris' first time in that league. He has spent the past two seasons playing for teams in Finland and Germany.

The pair hasn't played on the same team since high school at Duluth Marshall and has never before played competitively on the same line.

Both were recently asked by a teammate in an online interview about their time thus far in Leksand, and both were very complimentary of their new home.

"It's a really tight-knit community, small town," Jack said. "We're put up right by the water right now out by Leksands Strand, and it's a pretty cool experience."

"Everybody's been great in welcoming us to the team," Chris continued. "Like Jack said, we're right on the water so you can't complain very much."

Jack played four college seasons in his hometown with the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), helping the Bulldogs win the 2011 national championship and winning the 2012 Hobey Baker.

Chris, meanwhile, played four college seasons with Boston University and helped that team win the 2009 national championship.
