Colorado Springs, CO (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) defenseman Justin Faulk is one of 48 players invited to participate in the U.S. men's national team orientation camp, it was announced by USA Hockey on Monday.

The camp will run from Aug. 26-27 at Kettler IcePlex in Arlington, Va. and will serve as an orientation for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Faulk, who has played the past two seasons with Carolina, has totaled 13 goals and 24 assists in 103 games in the NHL after finishing his one year at UMD with eight goals and 25 assists in 2010-11.

Having never played in the Olympics, Faulk has represented his country twice at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships and won the bronze medal with that team in May 2013.
