Ex-Bulldog Oberg Signs with AHL's Chicago

Chicago, IL (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) defenseman Evan Oberg has signed a contract with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced by the team on Monday afternoon.

The 25-year-old Oberg accumulated 0 goals and nine assists with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch in the 2012-13 season, also skating in four postseason contests with the club.

In 223 career AHL games, Oberg has totaled 17 goals and 56 assists while skating for five different teams. He's skated in seven NHL games in his professional career, making his debut with the Vancouver Canucks in the 2009-10 season.

Oberg skated two seasons with UMD, totaling eight goals and 22 assists in 67 games played during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.
