Miami, FL (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) defenseman Dylan Olsen has signed a two-year contract with the Florida Panthers, the team announced on Monday afternoon.

Olsen played 44 games in the 2013-14 season for Florida, totaling three goals and nine assists in that time.

The 23-year-old was originally a first-round pick of Chicago in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, and he spent just one and half seasons with UMD, finishing with two goals and 22 assists in 53 games played.
