Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) standout Jenny Potter was the No. 4 overall pick on Tuesday night in the 2014 draft of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) after being selected by the Boston Blades.

Potter played four seasons at UMD and is still the program's all-time leading scorer with 256 career points, and she also won a NCAA Division I championship with the Bulldogs in 2003.

Past college, Potter is a four-time Olympic medalist with the United States national team, with that number including a gold medal from the 1998 Nagano Games.

The CWHL is not a professional league --- players are not paid to play --- but it is widely considered the highest post-NCAA women's league in North America.
