Ex-Bulldogs Chu, Faulk Land on Team USA

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth assistant coach Julie Chu and ex-Bulldog defenseman Justin Faulk have both landed a spot on the 2014 Team USA Olympic Team, it was announced on Wednesday.

Faulk will make his first appearance with the U.S men's national team. The 21-year-old. who plays for the Carolina Hurricanes, was one of eight defensemen selected.

While Faulk will be a rookie at the Sochi games, Chu will make her fourth Olympic appearance. The American women are looking for their first gold medal since 1998.

Both teams were announced at Wednesday's NHL Winter Classic in Ann Arbor, Mich.
