St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After spending the last two seasons with the Wild's AHL team, former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward Justin Fontaine made his debut in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

Fontaine played on the Wild's fourth line and recorded 6 minutes and 42 seconds of ice time in a losing effort, 3-2 against the Los Angeles Kings.

The 25-year-old led the Houston Aeros in scoring last season with 56 points before making the Wild's opening night roster this year.
