Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) offensive lineman Jake Bscherer will get his chance in the pros when he signs with the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, pending a physical, Bscherer confirmed to NNCNOW.com on Wednesday night.

The Sturgeon Bay native will head to Seattle on Monday and have a physical Tuesday. If he passes the physical, Bscherer will then participate in the Seahawks organized team activities (OTA's).

Bscherer said he won't know the terms of his contract until he passes the physical. The 6-foot-7 tackle spent three seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before transferring to UMD.

He was named to the all-NSIC team following his only year with the Bulldogs.
