Former UMD G Reiter Signs Two-Way Contract

Uniondale, NY (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) goalie Kenny Reiter signed his first NHL two-way contract on Friday afternoon with the New York Islanders after being undrafted out of UMD.

Reiter split time last season between AHL Bridgeport and ECHL Fort Wayne but has spent this season with the Sound Tigers.

The 27-year-old has a (7-5-2) record this winter in 15 games in Bridgeport who is in just his second full pro season.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native played four seasons with UMD and left with an overall record of (52-26-11) while also having helped the Bulldogs win the 2011 NCAA Division I championship.
