Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Hibbing native and University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) junior Kate Lange pounded 21 kills on Friday night as the #4-ranked Bulldogs beat Northern State 3-0 at Romano Gymnasium in Duluth.
Lange added eight digs and two blocks in the winning effort for UMD, while senior Kalli Lochner was the only other attacker with double digit kills with 11.
The match was the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) opener for UMD, which is seeking a second-straight conference title.
The Bulldogs are now (10-0) this season and will host #22-ranked Minnesota State-Moorhead on September 15, with that match scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
