H'town Native Krause Will Captain UMD

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown, Minn. native Adam Krause will captain the 2014-15 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team, it was announced on Monday night via Twitter by the team's hockey operations director Christian Koelling.

Krause will become a two-year captain of the Bulldogs, having held co-captain duties this past winter with then-senior Joe Basaraba.

The former Hawks standout had his most productive season as a Bulldog in 2013-14, totaling 13 points on seven goals and six assists.

Koelling also announced on his Twitter account that Duluth, Minn. native Andy Welinski and Justin Crandall will handle the assistant captain duties for UMD in the 2014-15 season.
