Kenyon, Huertas Lead UMD Past Russia

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Jamie Kenyon and Meghan Huertas each scored two goals on Tuesday night as the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team beat the Russian National Team 8-0 in an exhibition game at AMSOIL Arena.

The Bulldogs also got goals from Tea Villila, Duluth, Minn. native Emma Stauber, Alivia Del Basso, and Zoe Hickel in the winning effort. Meanwhile, Sofia Carlstrom was perfect in goal as she made 29 saves to earn the shutout.

The Bulldogs will be back into Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) play this weekend as they play host to Wisconsin, with games both Friday and Saturday set to start at 6:07 p.m.

UMD will play the Russians again on Dec. 2 at AMSOIL Arena, with that game set to start at 6:07 p.m. and be broadcast on the My 9 Sports Network.
