Houghton, MI (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team held a pair of two-goal leads on Saturday night, but the Bulldogs were forced to settle for a 4-4 overtime tie on the road at Michigan Tech.

UMD jumped out to another early lead, with Mike Seidel and Austin Farley each scoring goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead to the intermission.

After Michigan Tech rallied to tie the game 2-2, Tony Camaranesi and Caleb Herbert each scored third period goals to put the Bulldogs back up by two goals with less than 10 minutes left in the game.

The Huskies didn't quit, though, with Steven Seigo eventually scoring the equalizer with just 50 seconds remaining in the contest.

A scoreless overtime session resulted in the tie for the two teams, meaning UMD earned three of four points on the weekend in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).

Aaron Crandall made the start in goal for UMD, making 22 saves and allowing all four goals to take the tie for the Bulldogs.

UMD moves to (4-7-3) overall this season and (2-5-3) against WCHA opponents.
