Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) defenseman Norm Maciver chose to spend his day with the Stanley Cup touring around the Northland finishing off with a trip to AMSOIL Arena.

Maciver won the Stanley Cup last June as an assistant general manager with the Chicago Blackhawks. Fans got the chance to come by and see it, take pictures with it, but they weren't allowed to touch it.

"To get an opportunity to share this with family and friends, it's really a special day. It goes by quickly, it's a lot of fun. It was a little chaotic at times but a tremendous thrill."

The Cup also made appearances at a couple of schools including Duluth Denfeld and Lowell Elementary where Maciver's daughter Brooke brought it in for show-and-tell.
