Maroon Edges White in UMD Spring Game

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Drew Bauer threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Nick Larson with 22 seconds to go in the fourth quarter on Friday night, giving the Maroon team a 17-14 win over the White team in the 40th annual Maroon-White Spring Game for the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team.

The touchdown pass was Bauer's second scoring play of the day, that after he scampered 63 yards for a touchdown midway through the first quarter.

Beau Bofferding scored the first points for the White team with a 50-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, and Aaron Roth also scored for that side with a 36-yard touchdown catch from Justin Laureys in the third quarter.

The 40th annual spring game had 1,071 fans in attendance at Malosky Stadium, with the contest meant to simulate a real game atmosphere to close out spring workouts for the Bulldogs.
