St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Southwest Minnesota State is one of just three teams to beat the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team in 2012, and on Saturday afternoon the Mustangs did it a second time.
Southwest Minnesota State beat UMD 3-0 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) semifinals, with the Mustangs yet to drop a set to the Bulldogs this season.
Hibbing, Minn. native Kate Lange led UMD with 13 kills in the losing effort, with Kalli Lochner also reaching double digits with 11 kills.
The Bulldogs drop to (28-4) this season and look forward to the NCAA Division II tournament, which they likely will be a part of this coming week. The official selection show for the tournament is set for 9:00 p.m. on November 18.
