No. 1 Gophers Extend Winning Streak to 55 Games

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 1 Minnesota women's hockey team used an offensive outpouring to beat No. 7 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) 6-3 for the series sweep on Saturday night at AMSOIL Arena.

The win marked the 55th straight victory for the Gophers who scored on three of six power-play opportunities. The Bulldogs failed to score on their six power-play opportunities.

Bulldogs sophomore center Hannah Bramm scored her first of the year while Jenna McParland recorded her fifth tally and Sidney Morin notched her first collegiate goal. Sophomore goaltender Kayla Black notched 31 saves.

UMD (2-3-1) hits the road next weekend to take on Minnesota State University-Mankato. Puck drop is set for 7:07 p.m.
