No. 1 UMD Sweeps Bemidji State, Still Unbeaten

Bemidji, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The number-one ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team made quick work of conference foe Bemidji State 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to remain unbeaten in their 2013 season.

Senior outside hitter Kate Lange led all Bulldogs with 18 kills and one solo block in the match, accounting for 20 UMD points. Sophomore Mariah Scharf was second with nine kills.

Junior libero Julie Rainey had 17 digs for UMD while junior Katie Ledwell added 12 of her own and three service aces.

UMD (11-0, 2-0) returns home on Tuesday to play St. Cloud State University at 7:00 p.m.
