Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) senior running back Austin Sikorski was back on the sidelines with his teammates on Wednesday morning at practice, but coaches say there is still no timeframe for his return to the field.
Sikorski was stabbed earlier this month in downtown Duluth and spent several days in the hospital before returning home to Stevens Point, Wis. He joined the team as scheduled this past Saturday but hasn't been seen with the team at practice until Wednesday.
As a junior last season, Sikorski averaged 96.9 yards per game and scored 16 total touchdowns for UMD. He was named last week as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) preseason offensive player of the year.
