Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team is currently riding an eight-game unbeaten streak, but the team has its sights set on something much bigger down the season's home stretch.

"In the past 10 days we've had three team goal-setting sessions, and they've been very, very good," head coach Shannon Miller said. "We've been very honest with each other. There's definitely some trust there. We talked about winning. We talked about the reality of our situation, and we've got to win."

Miller went on to comment on the injuries her team has struggled with all season long, saying that three or four players are again questionable for this weekend.

"We can use the excuse that we have a lot of injuries," Miller said. "We can use the excuse that we're a very young team, but we don't want to do that."

UMD goes on the road this weekend for a pair of engagements with #9-ranked Ohio State. Those games are set for Jan. 25-26 at 7:07 p.m.
