Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team is holding out hope that it can qualify for this season's NCAA Division I tournament, meaning it would have to win this weekend's Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Final Faceoff tournament in Bemidji, Minn.

The first game UMD has in that tournament is a semifinal matchup against No. 1 Minnesota, a team that has already beaten the Bulldogs four times this season.

"It's do or die. We lose, and our season's over. We win, and we get to keep playing more hockey," UMD senior captain Jamie Kenyon said. "It's one game. On any given day, it could be anyone's game."

That semifinal contest will be played on Friday at 7:07 p.m., with the championship game then set to be played on Saturday at 3:07 p.m.
