Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Both the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's and women's basketball teams were ousted from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) playoffs on Wednesday night, each ending their season with a first round exit.
The women fell 74-56 on the road to Winona State, with the Bulldogs being led by a career-high 23 points from Courtney Doucette.
The Bulldogs end the year with an overall record of (14-13), with the loss ending the careers of senior players Doucette, Kaiya Sygulla, and Linsday Walter.
The men, meanwhile, were led by a career-high 26 points from Reece Zoelle but fell 89-81 on the road against Augustana.
UMD ends the year with an overall record of (8-19) and says goodbye to seniors Jake Hottenstine, Dylan Rodriguez, and Erik Powers.
