Omaha, NE (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey recruit Kyle Osterberg has been named this week the United States Hockey League (USHL) forward of the week, it was announced on Monday.

Osterberg, playing with the Omaha Lancers, scored three goals and had one assist over the weekend as his team earned an exhibition win over the United States Development Team and then a USHL victory over Lincoln.

His three-goal weekend puts Osterberg in a three-way tie for the Omaha team lead so far in this 2012-13 season.

The Lakeville, Minn. native signed his national letter of intent with UMD earlier this season and will join the Bulldogs for the 2013-14 season.
