Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) on Monday afternoon unveiled the new men's hockey uniforms ahead of the 2013-14 season, with the official presentation done outside UMD Stores on campus.
The new home uniforms features a new NCHC patch to recognize UMD's new conference and a stitched Aerial Lift Bridge on each of the shoulders. The striping is also slightly different than on past Bulldogs uniforms.
The away jerseys are identical except for the fact they don't have the Lift Bridge stitching on the shoulders.
This set of uniforms was made by SP Apparel as UMD fulfills a prior obligation, but Under Armour is the new official apparel provider for the athletic department and will make this year's "Pink Game" uniforms and will start next year with new home and away jerseys for the men's hockey team.
UMD did not wear the new uniforms in Monday night's exhibition game, so the first game with the new stuff will be Oct. 11 at home against Michigan Tech.
