UMD's Comeback Falls Short Against Denver

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team erased a two-goal deficit with four minutes left to play but fell in overtime to No. 16 Denver University 3-2 on Friday night at AMSOIL Arena.

Caleb Herbert got the Bulldogs on the board in the third period to cut the deficit to one. Then with less than two minutes remaining, Tony Cameranesi scored the equalizer to force overtime.

Quentin Shore scored the game-winner for the Pioneers with 45 seconds left in OT.

Aaron Crandall finished with 25 saves for the Bulldogs.

UMD (9-9-1) and Denver (12-7-4) will meet again on Saturday night at 7:07 p.m.
