Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) junior outside hitter Kate Lange has been named to the 2012 Daktronics All-American third team, it was announced on Wednesday.

The honor marks the second All-American honor this year for the Hibbing, Minn. native, who was named to the first team by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association earlier this week.

Lange led the Bulldogs this season with a career-high 569 kills, an effort for which she was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) player of the year for a second straight year.

She reached double digits in kills in every match during the 2012 season and has now accomplished that feat in 67 straight matches, a streak dating back to Nov. 18, 2010.
