Rivard, Warmington Win NSIC Honors

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth freshman runner Samantha Rivard and her coach, Joanna Warmington, have both won postseason awards from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), it was announced on Tuesday.

Rivard was named the NSIC newcomer of the year after she ran a personal-best 6-kilometer race at the conference championships, finishing in fourth place with a time of 21:22.

Warmington, meanwhile, was named the NSIC coach of the year after leading her team this season to the conference championship, unseating five-time defending champion Augustana in the process.
