Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After tearing his meniscus on Nov. 3, University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) senior center Brett Ervin will now miss the rest of the season after getting surgery on his knee on Monday to repair the meniscus.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division Preseason Player of the Year will likely be out four to six months but is planning on taking a medical redshirt.

In the meantime, the Bulldogs will have to find a way to replace Ervin's scoring after he led the team last season with 16.2 points per game.
