UMD's Wenninger Earns NSIC Gold Glove

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) freshman second baseman Skyler Wenninger has been named a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Golf Glove performer for the 2014 season, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Wenninger played 38 games this spring for the Bulldogs, committing just three errors while recording 67 putouts and 77 assists up the middle of the UMD infield.

The freshman also produced offensively, hitting for a .302 average with seven doubles and a home run to go along with 19 runs scored for the Bulldogs.
