Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD baseball team earned a doubleheader split on Wednesday afternoon with Concordia-St. Paul, thanks in large part to senior Anders Engberg.
Engberg finished game one 2-for-3 at the plate, driving in the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Bulldogs won that game 6-5 but then dropped the second contest 14-5, finishing with a home split on the afternoon.
UMD is now (20-25) overall and (13-18) in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
The team will finish up the regular season this weekend with a pair of home doubleheaders against the University of Mary. The first game of that set is scheduled for Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
