Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD men's hockey players J.T. Brown and Justin Faulk will begin play on May 4 for the United States in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) world championships.
Faulk has made several previous appearances for the United States, but this is the first chance for Brown to represent his country.
Brown signed a professional deal following the 2011-12 season, leaving the Bulldogs to join the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He had one assist in five games with Tampa Bay, while Faulk scored eight goals and had 14 assists for the Carolina Hurricanes in his rookie season.
