Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) women's hockey team saw their unbeaten streak come to a halt on Saturday afternoon as No. 5 University of Wisconsin-River Falls beat the Yellowjackets 4-1.

The Falcons scored three second period goals en route to getting past UWS. Dani Schultz put the Yellowjackets on the board first, but that's all the offense they could muster.

UWS netminder Shanley Peters finished with 37 saves while Ashley Kuechle racked up 25.

The Yellowjackets (14-3-4) will face the Falcons when they hit the ice next on Saturday, Feb. 8 in River Falls.
