Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UW-Superior has announced four new names to be enshrined into that school's athletic Hall of Fame, with those four people making up the school's class of 2012.

Erin Kegley, Robert Schneider, and Nathan Ziemski will all be inducted on athletic merit, and James Negrini will enter the Hall as the 2012 recipient of the Mertz Mortotelli Coaching Achievement Award.

Kegley was a four-time All-American for the UW-Superior women's hockey team, and she still holds the school record for career goals and career total points.

She was also a standout for the Yellowjackets softball team, still ranking in the top 10 in several Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) statistical categories.

Schneider, meanwhile, became the first diver ever from the WIAC to be named All-American. He won seven of a possible eight conference championships during his collegiate career, winning titles in both the one-meter and three-meter events.

Ziemski finished his career at UW-Superior a two-time All-American in men's hockey, and he was also an integral part in the school's 2002 NCAA Division III national championship.

Negrini played football for four seasons at UW-Superior, but it really was his subsequent coaching career that gave him his fame. He coached 10 seasons of girls' basketball at Regis High School, amassing a (210-61) record and two WIAA state championships.

He also had stops coaching with Osseo-Fairchild and Eleva-Strum, with his 300th coaching victory coming while he was with Osseo-Fairchild.

The UW-Superior athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on September 29 at Barkers Island in Superior.
