UWS' Urmanski is Finalist for Nat'l Award

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior senior Connie Urmanski has been named one of 10 finalists for the 2013 Jostens Trophy, which is given out each year to one men's and one women's basketball player who exceeds on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.

Urmanski helped the Yellowjackets to a school-record 19 wins during the 2012-13 campaign, finishing with an average of 12.2 points per game.

The outgoing senior finishes her UW-Superior career having played in a program-record 103 games, and she also holds school records with 197 three-pointers made and an .863 free throw percentage.

Urmanski also holds a 3.98 grade-point average as an elementary education major and is set to graduate this May.

Ballots for the 2013 Jostens Award are due by March 13, with the official presentation to come March 21 in Salem, Va.
