Yellowjackets Women Picked Sixth in WIAC Poll

Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UW-Superior women's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), that according to a preseason poll released on Thursday.

The Yellowjackets return 13 letterwinners and three starters from last year's squad, a team that produced a (12-14) overall record.

Connie Urmanski is back for UW-Superior this season, already the program's all-time leader with 157 three-pointers made. She will enter the 2012-13 campaign just 147 points shy of reaching 1,000 in her career.
